What battery is right for you?

 

Starter Battery, designed with thin plates to give high discharge current (CCA).
The standard battery can be maintained and topped up with distilled water.

 

The Spiral Cell Technology uses thin plates with a greater surface area and are spirally wound with a glass matt between the plates to contain the electrolyte.
The starting power is greater, size for size, compared with standard lead acid batteries.
They are maintenance free and their design provides an extra long life span.

 

Semi-Traction widely known as Leisure Batteries are designed for cycle use but can also be used for engine starting.
They are available as traditional lead acid, AGM absorbed glass matt and gel.

The traditional lead acid batteries can be supplied as maintenance free and the AGM gel types are maintenance free.

 

Traction type batteries can be heavily discharged down to 20-30% state of charge on a regular basis.
For a high capacity battery bank, 2 volt cells can be used.
